MK Walkers step out for MK50

Date Posted:07/09/2017

As part of the celebrations for MK50, Milton Keynes Council and The Parks Trust created together a programme of 50 led walks to encourage people to get outside and explore the beautiful and varied landscapes in our city.

A highlight of this programme was the Walking Festival – a special weekend of 15 walks taking place all across Milton Keynes.

The walks covered nearly 100 miles in total, with favourite walks including a tour of the Ouse Valley and Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve, an MK Monopoly Board Walk and a walk exploring the history of the Grand Union Canal and Great Linford Manor.

Walks were led by The Parks Trust events staff, rangers and volunteers, alongside MK Council and Walking for Health.
